Description:

The project aimed to respond to the national need to divert biodegradable urban waste from landfills, favoring the organic colonization and energy use of this type of waste. The project built in Abrunheira included the design-build of an Anaerobic Digestion Plant with a capacity of 200 000 ton/year, the design-build of a Sanitary Landfill, consisting of three technical containment cells, occupying an area of 21 hectares with capacity for 2 445 000 m3 of waste, and the design-build of a Water and Leachate Treatment Plant with a treatment capacity of 280 m3/day for the purification of wastewater from the Anaerobic Digestion Plant and the landfill, for reuse for irrigation, washing and consumption in the industrial network, namely as process water for anaerobic digestion.

Scope of service: Works Supervision and Health and Safety Coordination, being also responsible for the Planning, Financial, Administrative, Quality, Environment and Safety follow up of the contracts.
