Description:

Construction of the Porto de Itaqui Thermoelectric Power Plant (in the state of Maranhão, Brazil) powered by mineral coal with a power generation capacity of 1×360 MW. The project also included the construction of a coal park with a capacity of 90 000 tons, a desulphurization system, a cooling system with metal towers to minimize the consumption of seawater for cooling, a water desalination system with a capacity of 100 m³/h.

Scope of services: Owner’s Engineering Services, including technical assistance, project analysis, Procurement – definition of specifications (infrastructure, equipment, consulting services), preparation of documents and organization of tender processes and consultancy for proposals evaluation, supervision of works, environmental monitoring and Safety and Health coordination.
