Description:The Contract for the Madeira Airport Maritime Search and Rescue Center was part of a wider requalification of Madeira Airport’s infrastructures, implemented by ANAM. Given the airport’s location on the coastline, it was intended to provide its infrastructure with adequate means for rescue at sea. The project involved carrying out sea and land works, under the airport runway. The maritime works included the execution of a shelter jetty, a hauling pier, marginal retentions and floating bridges. On what concerns land works, these consisted of constructing support buildings, namely the Naval Station Building, the First Aid Building and the Ship Hangar. In addition, accesses, technical networks and landscaping were carried out.
