Coal Terminal of Nacala

Client: CLN – Corredor Logístico de Nacala, S.A.

Period: 2013 - 2015

The project integrated the final sections of the Moatize Mine Expansion Plan, which included the new Port Terminal, with a maximum capacity of 18 million tons of coal per year, including unloading, handling, storage and loading to the port terminal. The new onshore terminal occupies an area of 10 ha and involved earthworks of approximately 2 000 000 m³.

Scope of services: Multidisciplinary onshore coal terminal Detailed Design, comprising the following specialties and activities: railway outline, earthworks, internal and external roads, rainwater drainage, coal storage facilities including geometry and coal handling and transport equipment support infrastructure, retention basins, administrative buildings, warehouses, material transport systems and equipment.
