1- Because your privacy is very important to us, we have drawn up this privacy notice, which must be read in conjunction with our Data Protection Policy. This notice only concerns the data and interactions you may have via our online site www.consulgal.pt.

2- We have prepared both documents in a clear, accessible and easy-to-understand language for everyone.

3- Above all, we have tried to help you understand that your personal data is very important to us and that we protect it within our organization by adopting rigorous and robust technical, organisational and procedural measures.

4-We follow the definition of “personal data” contained in the European Data Protection Regulation, which means information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”), an identifiable natural person being one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

We collect your data online via our platform.
 
2-What data do we collect?
If you visit our site, you do not need to provide us with any personal data unless you accept some of the cookies. In such cases, the information is limited to the purposes foreseen in the act of accepting them.

When you fill in our contact forms we will ask you for the following types of personal data:

3- For what purpose do we process your data?
We only process personal data in accordance with the purposes established at the time of collection. The purpose(s) may vary depending on the type of relationship you have with Consulgal. We process this personal data in order to provide the service or fulfil the contract

We may process your personal data for other purposes, including marketing and communications, but this will only happen if we have your consent or other legal grounds to do so.
 
4-Personal data of children
Our services and products are not intended for children, so we do not collect or intend to collect their data.

Should this happen, because it is not always possible to unequivocally identify who consults us, the holders of parental responsibility can contact us and request the deletion of any data we may have collected.
 
5- How long do we keep your data?
Data retention depends on the purpose. There are legal retention periods that we must comply with. If they do not apply, the data will be kept for the minimum period necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.

As part of the contact on our website, the data entered in the forms will be retained for a period of three years.

In accordance with the provisions of the GDPR, we guarantee the exercise of your rights.

Right to Restriction of Processing: in certain situations, you may have the right to obtain restriction of the processing of your personal data;

Portability Right: in certain situations, you may have the right to receive the personal data you have provided us, in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and you may have the right to transmit this data to another data controller;

Right of Opposition: In certain situations, you may have the right, at any time, to object, for reasons related to your particular situation, to the processing of your personal data and we may be obliged to cease the processing of your personal data;

Right not to be subject to automated decisions: You have the right not to be subject to any decision made solely on the basis of automated processing, including the definition of profiles, that has effects in your legal sphere or that significantly affects you in a similar way.

7-What measures have been implemented to guarantee the security of personal data?
We have adopted technical and organisational measures, which we periodically review and improve, designed to guarantee the security and protection of your personal data in terms of its availability, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality, as well as those designed to prevent its loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised processing or access, as well as any other form of illicit processing.
 
8-Is there data communication to third parties?
We may use a subcontractor to process your data on our behalf. We will regulate this processing by contract and ensure that the subcontractor processes the data only in accordance with our instructions and for the purposes for which we have a legal basis for processing.
As part of our staff recruitment and selection processes, we do not use subcontractors to process your data, so any communication to third parties will depend on your prior authorisation.

It may happen that we have to pass on personal data to third parties, in which case we will comply with all the legal provisions in force, security issues will be taken into account in the transmission of the data and a contract will be concluded.

What types of Cookies are used and why?
The cookies on CONSULGAL’s website and online services fall into the following categories:
 
Category 1 – essential cookies for service provision
These cookies are essential to enable the use of CONSULGAL websites and their functionalities, as well as to take advantage of their features such as access to secure areas and exclusive access content, etc.

Category 2 – primary service analytics cookies
These cookies collect information about how CONSULGAL websites and services are used, such as which pages are most visited. This information can be used to help CONSULGAL improve pages and make them easier to use. These cookies also allow you to know if the visits to the CONSULGAL websites come from campaigns that the companies of the CONSULGAL Group carry out. These cookies do not collect information that identifies the user as all the information collected is aggregated into non-personal and therefore anonymous indicators and is intended only for the above purpose. Category 3 – performance and functionality cookies
These cookies allow the CONSULGAL website to recognise users’ choices while they use the services of CONSULGAL Group companies, such as:
Performance cookies – collect information about the visit and use of the site; for example, which pages are visited most often and whether error messages are sent from web pages. These cookies do not collect information that can identify a user. All information collected by these cookies is anonymised and is only used to improve the functioning of the website.

Functionality – allow a website to remember user choices (such as: name, language or region) and offer more enhanced personal functionalities. These cookies are not able to track browsing activities on other websites. No information is collected about the user that can be used for advertising or to remember that another site has visited other than ours.

The information that these cookies collect does not allow the user to be identified personally, nor does it allow the user’s browsing activity on websites that are not CONSULGAL websites to be monitored. They are only used for internal purposes.

CONSULGAL does not use Targeting Cookies to promote targeted advertising to our users.
