The first applications developed for CONSULGAL’s case study in the ZDMP – Zero Defects Manufacturing Platform Innovation project are already in the testing phase.
CONSULGAL is the leader of the consortium for the Works Supervision and Coordination of the Madeira Central Hospital, recently renamed as Madeira Central and University Hospital, in Funchal, promoted by the Regional Secretary of Equipment and Infrastructure (SREI) of the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
CONSULGAL is carrying out the Works Supervision of the runway expansion joints replacement work at Madeira Airport, in Funchal, promoted by ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal.
Madeira Airport is the most important gateway to Madeira Island, so all activities in that region are heavily dependent on the operation of that transport infrastructure. For this reason, interventions to replace the expansion joints of the runway at Madeira Airport, after 20 years of their installation during the airport runway expansion, are being carried out with the airport in operation, which requires strong restrictions of temporal and spatial availability to carry out the work, while it is imperative to ensure that the runway is operational in safety conditions.
The work started in February 2022 and CONSULGAL ensures the activities of Technical Inspection, Quality Control, Health and Safety Coordination and Environmental Inspection, in a contract that involves 7 technicians specialized in airport activities on the airside, which not only ensure the quality of the contractor’s work execution and its compliance with the design, but also the safeguarding of the safety and operational conditions of the runway after each daily interdiction for the execution of works.
